Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are an integral component of our research and development program. Regeneus continually undertakes in-house and external clinical trials for therapies and procedures within both the human and animal health fields.

As a result of the success of AdiCell as a treatment for canine and equine orthopaedic conditions and a pilot study to treat human arthritis in 2009, Regeneus has entered into an agreement with Northern Sydney and Central Coast Area Health Service to sponsor a pioneering double-blinded clinical trial. The trial aims to obtain valuable clinical data about the impact of HiQCell on pain relief and the progression of human osteoarthritis. The principal investigators for the trial are leading rheumatologists from the University of Sydney, based at the Royal North Shore Hospital, who will monitor 40 participants for 6 months post-treatment on a range of measures. Following all ethics and site approvals, the trial commenced in February 2011.

In conformance with industry regulations, our commercialisation trials around the HiQCell procedure are operated and monitored by an external body, independently of Regeneus.
